Bet tries to tell Alec about Des but he is too busy to listen.When Alec is insistent on employing Des, Bet tells him about her relationship with Des and Alec thinks she's been unfaithful. Bet is forced to show Alec the bruises Des gave her. Alec is stunned and believes that she had to defend herself.
