In a special edition of Newsnight tonight we're exploring different attitudes towards the notions of Britishness and national identity, and to Scottish independence. We'll analyse the findings of a survey which found that almost 50% of voters in England want Scotland to remain part of the UK - read the rest of the findings here. And Fergal Keane examines why the concepts of Englishness and Britishness are hard to disentangle, and asks if the rise of Scotland's nationalism might inspire a new distinctly English nationalism among those who once saw themselves as British.
