When Stephanie realises that Sam still loves Ridge, she encourages her to tell Ridge the truth. Sam does, wanting Ridge to know that he has options other than a life on the edge with Brooke. Jackie asks Ridge to step aside if the baby turns out to belong to Nick...she doesn't want him to take her son's child the way he has taken the woman Nick loves.
